Calauit Island

     Another pride of  Palawan is Calauit Island. An island paradise for animals in the wild and not in the zoo. Calauit is truly amazing simply because some of the animals can be seen in Africa is here. They are roaming freely. 
    A Must for every tourist who wants to experience Africa in the Philippines.. Calauit Nature Reserve is haven for a non-carnivorous African animals such as giraffe, eland, topi, waterbuck,zebra, impala, gazelle, leopard cat, tarsier, scaly anteater, porcupine, monitor lizards , wild chicken, wild boar  they can live and roam freely in 3,700 hectare island with no predator. For birdwatchers,  the island hosts over 120 species, including the green imperial pigeon, Palawan Hornbill, Kock pitta, pompadour green pigeon and more....
